September 8th meeting was a great Back to Embroidery meeting after our very short, but wonderful, summer. The discussion was on Labels and was a very interesting topic, an eye opener for some, and for some some wonderful tips to be shared. Thank you ladies for this great participation. Donna Shanley is still seeking valuable information from the makers of Bubble Jet Set 2000 and will be sharing her results in future meetings. She has a list of pros and cons.
Brin n Brag was a great segment that we barely had time to squeeze in. Don Walters and Marisa presented their very first quilts! Marisa mentored by Mary, Layed out, Embroidered, put together and long-armed her very first quilt! It is beautiful! Don, mentored by Marie, also did his first quilt top! Don did shades of blue and it is a marvelous quilt. Our very own Linda Blyth and her husband Brian were featured in Garden Gates eNotes. Their gardens are just breath taking with so much interest and hidden things. We are so proud of you Linda and Thank you for sharing your article with us. Jo prepared for a Silhouette Class discussion on using SVG files from your embroidery, quilting or in-the-hoop projects. The shoes are an in-the-hoop embroidery project from Kimberbell's Sweet Feet et al (cookies will be used to make the legs). So happy to see all this embroidery going on.
One of the highlights was Kathy Dublinski talking about her 3 babes and most of all the photo of the three of them in their Christmas Eve TuTus. That was FUN Kathy.
